21st Annual Valley of Flowers Car Show Saturday, May 6, 2017   PRINTABLE APPLICATION CAR SHOW CLASSES This year we are marking the occasion of our 21st Annual Valley of Flowers Car Show. This year promises to be a great show with nearly 200 entries expected. Each year this show has become bigger and better. This year’s show will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017. The Car Show will once again be a major event for the Festival. As usual, we are soliciting sponsors to help defray the costs of trophies, publicity, printing, and other miscellaneous costs. A basic sponsorship of $75 00 includes publicity on a large signboard in the staging area. Events are as follows: Saturday December 10 from 5pm-9am in the Schoolhouse  Activities include, A visit from Santa Claus, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, Food is available, Raffles, Carriage Rides throughout Old Town,  Carolers and a Living Nativity  on the tour On Saturday night time tours in the Church will be available for all ages.  Tours will go from 6pm-9pm The church will be dark with the only light reflected on the Tour Guides.  Hear about life in the Convent during the time of St. Philippine.   Cost for Night Tours and Horse Drawn Carriage Rides are $15 per adult and $10 for Children under the age of 12. Outside on the Shrine Grounds will be the Living History Reenactors telling stories of life in 19 th century. Sunday December 11 brings us the annual Christmas Concert.  Choirs featured are the Community Choir composed of singers from 6 different Churches. Also will be the Archdiocesean Children’s Choir.   After the Concert there will be a reception in the Schoolhouse.  There is not charge for the concert but of course donations are accepted. Christmas in Old Town Florissant Rue St. Francois Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 2:00 – 4:30 PM Concludes with Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:00 PM Mark December 3rd on your calendar. This is the day of the annual “Christmas in Old Town Florissant.” The festivities begin at 2:00pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall with seasonal music. The Tree Lighting at the end of the activities concludes the day. Santa Claus will arrive at city hall at 2:15 and welcomes all children to visit him. (There is a charge to have your picture with Santa).
